I love it. Simple and fun.
This is a big step for me-- it's the first kids party I've had at the house... my first party, in fact, since my baby shower when I was pregnant with Bug. BK came so suddenly, I didn't even have a shower for him.
I got ripped off. Someone owes me a party.
But I digress.
It's a cupcake party! We're going to decorate chef hats and aprons, and then decorate cupcakes. Cute, right? I ordered the invitations through Costco and got a great deal.
This is also a big step for Bug.... for reasons unknown, she made the decision to only invite girls to the party. The Agent did the dance of joy when he heard that one.
I'm glad that Bug is making more of an effort to be friends with girls, but I'm a little worried. Only one girl from her class came last year, even though they were all invited.
"Bug.... won't David and Tony get their feelings hurt if they don't get invited? Aren't they your best friends?"
"I don't know why they would get upset," Bug answered. "I play with them every day. They don't need to come over. Well.... maybe I could invite just Tony to the party."
"Honey, I really don't think Tony would want to go to a party where he's the only boy in a room full of girls."
Or maybe that's exactly what he wants.
