Me: You wanna know something really weird?
The Agent: of course.
Me: Ever since I first started having a period, it's been irregular. All the time I was on birth control, and then trying to get pregnant, and then back on the pill, I was always irregular. It would be 45 days one month, then 37 days, then 52 days, really all over the place. But now, ever since you got the Big V, I've had a 27 day cycle, every single month. You could set your watch by it. It's so ironic that I finally don't care when my period comes, and now it's completely regular. Don't you think that's weird?
The Agent: Yes, that's very weird. Do you want to know what's even more weird?
Me: What?
The Agent: That you thought I would want to know about this.
Me: Baby! Who can I tell these things to if not you?
The Agent: Haven't we talked about this before? I thought that's why you had a blog.
Me: Well, it's not the only reason...
OK, so we might as well get real up in here and talk about Aunt Flo. Is this totally TMI? Hey, it's my blog, I'll talk about what I want. Anyway, I start my period pretty late (16), and I've always been irregular, even on birth control, until this year. That's weird, right? What does it mean? Is menopause around the corner? Am I the most fertile woman ever? What does it all mean?
Sigh. If only I had an older sister to talk to. Or a mother who wasn't too nutty for me to have a conversation with.

I despise Aunt Flo. I would love to hire a hit man to take her out.
I started at 14 and was always irregular. When I went on The Pill, I was awesomely regular. I stayed somewhat regular after I had kids.
Now, however, I'm totally nutty. At my last C-Section, the doctor said I had endometriosis and we'd talk about it at the next appointment. I never went back. I know, that's really bad. So, I don't know if that's what has me jacked up, but it's really frustrating.
Hubby is begging me to go see someone new. I think I'm scared. I've always been a tough person and I would rather tough it out than to do something about it.
You're not alone. I'll talk with you about Flo any time.
My period, for more than 10 years now (except, obviously, when I wasn't having one due to pregnancy or training), has always struck within the 24 hours following when my best friend's starts. So I don't even have to keep track! And she does! Ha!
Also, my periods have lasted longer since having the baby. I used to be spoiled with 3 day periods. A little spotting before or after, but all over in under a week. Now I'm at least a full 7. Suck.
I have no idea what random irregularity means... Hmmm.
